このアルバム、全体的には、統一感が少なく、インパクトという観点では地味な存在なのかも知れません。
しかし彼が生まれ育った横浜、愛する人や故郷の風景へのオマージュが散りばめられ、ある意味とても彼らしい、
内省的な楽曲に仕上がっており、飾りのないことばと旋律が胸を打ちます。
TVで幾度となく流れた名曲「風の坂道」、「走れメロス」の主題歌だった「そのままの君が好き」、ラテン系アレンジが光る「またたく星に願いを」、これぞ小田節と言った感じの「それとも二人」など
佳曲揃いの名盤だと言っても過言ではないでしょう。
決して買って損のないアルバムだと思います。

やっぱりこのアルバムは購入してよかった

オフコース解散後のアルバムとしては最低の売り上げで、小田本人をして、ニーズがないからオリジナルアルバムはもう作らない、と言わしめた問題作。確かに派手なタイアップ曲もなく、全体的に夜の雰囲気を感じる地味な作品であるが中身は濃い。ＡＯＲ風の「それとも二人」「だからブルーにならないで」やサンバ調の「またたく星に願いを」は見事に小田流に消化しており、後者２曲は、ライブのアンコールでもお馴染みである。過小評価気味の名作アルバム。
