'88から'93までの代表曲を集めた「STATEMENT」の続編となる、'94から'98までのベストアルバムです。「Sweetheart Story」や「透明な音楽」などの、ある一定のコンセプトに従って選曲したベストアルバムとは異なり、純粋に'94から'98までの曲から代表曲を選んでいるので、個々のアルバムを購入する前にまず予習をしてみたい、あるいは、この期間の S.E.N.S の歩みをダイジェストで味わってみたい、というような方に最適なアルバムかもしれません。

「Palace memories」は、悠久の時の流れを感じさせるスケールの大きな音楽です。長江の流れの様に遥か彼方まで届くような壮大さには圧倒されました。「故宮」のメインテーマにはピッタリで、東洋の神秘を感じさせるオーラのようなものが音楽から伝わってきます。

６曲目の「Heaven’s Song」はドラマ「ミセスシンデレラ」のサウンドトラックです。春風のような爽やかさとどこか郷愁を感じさせる懐かしさが音楽に満ち溢れています。心の安らぎをもたらす音楽の典型でしょうか。

「Brightness」のピアノとストリングスの音色の美しいこと、聞き惚れてしまいます。ヒーリングのエッセンスのような音楽です。癒されました。

「Asian Blue~月が泳ぐ海」の冒頭、笙の音色のようなストリングスのハーモニーの美しさがまた格別でした。東洋音階で綴られたメロディは、初めて聴いたのに懐かしさを覚えるほどで、不思議な感覚に包まれました。ポルタメントのかかった女声のヴォカリーゼが神秘的な様相を見せてくれます。

現代人は忙しい毎日を送りながら心のゆとりをどんどん失っていっています。心に潤いを保つためにも美しい音楽を内面に満たしてやらないといけません。
S.E.N.Sの音楽と共に満たされた一時を過ごすことが出来ますよ。
