いやあ、笑った、笑った。最高です。噂には聞いてたけど、こんなに面白いとは。とにかく聴いてください。パープル聴いて笑えるなんて、めったに有りませんぜ。で、バックがしっかりパープルコピーなのがミソ。ドラムの鈴木徹さん、久しぶりに名前見れて、うれしいな。３曲めにカラオケはいってるけど、これを聴くだけでも、しっかりコピーしてるのが、よく判る。強いて不満を言えば、ギターソロもコピーして入れて欲しかったな。これからこのシリーズ集める気になりました。

文明の発達や文化の発展は、一部を除いて西洋が中心であると言うことに異論を挟む人はいないと思います。現在、私たちが享受している文明の利器、例えば電話、コンピュータ、自動車などは西洋発だそうです。一方、文化的な面でいうと東洋にも素晴らしいものがたくさんありますが、現在の若者の気持ちを惹きつけているものの多くは西洋発のモノだと言えると思います。その代表的なものがポピュラー・ミュージックです。今日ではロックやポップスだけにとどまらず、ヒップホップ、テクノ、トランス、レゲェ、などなど枚挙に暇が無い程に細分化されたジャンルが存在し、それぞれに熱狂的な信奉者がいるようです。前置きが長くなりましたが、ここに登場した王様の直訳ロックは、それら細分化されたポピュラー・ミュージックのいちジャンルとして発展していく可能性を持った稀有なサウンド・スタイルを聴かせてくれます。歌詞の面では、伝説と呼ばれるロック・バンドの歌詞が如何に無意味且つバカバカしいものであるかを笑い飛ばしながら、バックの演奏は結構本気だったりするのです。このアンバランスこそが王様の真骨頂です。かつてここまで西洋文化を笑い飛ばしたものがあったでしょうか。いや、無いはずです。

すんごいです。笑えます。笑
あの『Speed king』でさえ、王様の手にかかれば「米食べろ〜、豆つまめ〜♪」ですから。笑笑

しかし、歌詞が面白いだけにあらず。僕はメドレーの繋ぎ方も好きです。特に、Speed king〜Burnの流れ、あそこはかなり『おぉ、カッコいい!』と思える出来です。

日本人の大好きなDeep purpleが、こんなに庶民派になったんですから、一家に一枚ですよ!

洋楽じたい詳しくなくても、知ってる曲がいくつかあって安心です。
