これは3rdかな・・POPかつFUNKYな快作『VOICE』の内容をこの作品に置き比べたら、こちらは前半（SIDE A）と後半（SIDE B)にパックリ、２つに分けた構成となる。FUNKYでソウルフルな曲をAに、POP寄りのナンバーをBに配置して　両方のアプローチを徹底的に聴かせる。　【1】は何処かPRINCEの曲に似てるFUNK POPチューン。貴方も好きですね〜(笑）。PRINCEのファンとしては嬉しいですな。　【2】TITLE　TRACK　カッコイイです。SINGLEにもなりました。毒々しいプロモを思い出します。こういうFUNKナンバーをやらせたら　キイっちゃん上手いです。　【3】これもSINGLEだったかな？CDでは4曲入りの7inch CDシングルにREMIX　Ver．とかと収録されてました。当時はコンサートでは盛り上がりに欠かせない一曲でした。パラシュート飛んじゃってますから（笑）。　【4】これがやたらカッコイイ！　タイトなSOUNDでGROOVEするキイっちゃんのセンスが突出した作品。SINGLEのc/wだったと思うけどカップリングで終わらせるには勿体無いほどCOOL。　【5】FUNKY　SIDEを締めくくる名曲。とにかく夏の海岸線を　窓全開で車、飛ばしたい一曲。ホント良い曲。この曲を知らない人は損してます！愛する彼女の為　歌っちゃいます。　【6】変わってPOP　SIDEのオープニングはキイっちゃんらしいメロディで聴かせるミディアム・ポップ。このテの歌詞は妙にハマるキイっちゃんです。　【7】この曲、好きです。ホント、夕暮れの海で聴きたい切ないバラード。ハーモニカが哀愁奏でてます。　【8】センチメンタルな歌詞を乗せてサビでは明るく切なく盛り上げます。　【9】モータウン調のSOUNDでPOPに聴かせる1stからの流れを感じる一曲。　【10】SINGLE曲のラスト・ナンバー。これぞキイっちゃんと言える横山STYLEが詰め込まれたナンバー。歌詞、メロディ、SOUND、この当時のキイっちゃんが感じられます。　トータルしてそんなに派手ではないが、実験的な構成に、全体的に締まった音作り　この時期にキイっちゃんがやりたかった事が感じとれます。　私はやはり前半に気がいってしまう。　甘くセンチメンタルな彼も好きだが、カッコイイ曲、SOUNDにこだわり続けるキイっちゃんが私は好きだ。　『STATUS』や『COOL DOWN』の様なFUNKYでCOOLな曲をまだまだ聴かせて欲しいものだ・・・。遊びまくってた当時の私のスイッチとなる曲が、岡村ちゃんの『BIBLE』(勿論SINGLE　Ver.）と米倉の『NASTY GROOVE』とキイっちゃんの『STATUS』だったのだ（どーでもいいか）。とにかく私の青春弟2期をガッチリ盛り上げてくれた日本のアーティスト、キイっちゃんよ・・ありがとう！！
