あの名曲「LONELY NIGHT」も収録されたBEGIN過渡期のアルバム。
カバー曲「青い瞳のステラ、1962年 夏…」や聴きごたえのあるInstrumental「ONE DAY AT A TIME」、今のBEGINではもう聴くことのできない実験作「僕の赤い扉」「MOON BEACH」「ZYDECO DE DO」、など。
もちろんお得意のバラード曲「RING RING」「TRUST ME」「君と夕日を見送って」も収録。

ものすごい名作！この作品を初めて聴いた当時、「こんなスゴイ作品を作ってしまってこの後どうするんだろう・・・」と心配になったほど。中でも「リング・リング」、「青い瞳のステラ　１９６２年、夏・・・」の出来は素晴らしい！ＢＥＧＩＮの魅力が最大限に生かされた名曲。正直この路線で行ってほしかったという気持ちもある。実験色も強く、例えば「ナッッシュヴィル」などはこれまでのＢＥＧＩＮのイメージを打ち破った少なからずショックを受けた曲。全体的にアメリカン・ロックを意識した作りであり１曲１曲の完成度は高すぎ。そしてこの後、彼らはもっと驚きのアルバム「ＵＥＳＤ」を発表する。

デビュー作からBEGINを聞いてきましたが、「恋しくて」や「涙そうそう」に並ばないけど負けていない名曲が「RING RING」だと一人で思っています。「Birthday Song」が気に入った方は是非お聞きください。
