　初めてこの曲を聴いた時に，「ピアノってこんなに美しい音色を出すんだ」と感動しました。

　五感をフルに刺激する息を飲むような美しさ，一つ一つの音が，宝石のように磨かれ，輝きを増し，静寂と平静が訪れて，華麗に煌めいていくきらびやかでもの悲しい恍惚と幻惑の世界。

　いつも心の片隅に，この美しいサンクチュアリの世界を忘れずに持ち続けていたいと思いました。

☆このＣＤの中にある〈03：LONGING/LOVE〉は、以前にトヨタのクレスタのＣＭに使われた曲でブームになりました。ジョージ・ウィンストンは幾枚かＣＤを出していますが、やはりオータムが最高傑作だと思います。透き通ったピアノの音色を聞いて下さい。

秋になると空が高くなる。
そんな高い空の中にピアノの音が吸い込まれていく。
ジャケットを見るだけでそんな思いが浮かんでくる。
優しく、ささやきかけるようにピアノは進んでいく。ジョージ・ウィンストンはきれいな響きだけを紡ぎながら秋を表現していく。
秋がこんなにいろいろな顔を持つなんて、このアルバムが教えてくれたこと。

4部作の口火を切る記念碑的な作品です。
