冒頭のパーカッションから始まる「初恋」は、ノリも良く、パワフルなドラムス、躍動感溢れるベースラインで、このリズム隊がキッチリとキメているので、ウワモノに当たるE.GUITAR、A.PIANO、SYNTHEも当然ながらハマってくる。各々のミュージシャンの腕前も披露されていることを考慮すると、やはり「初恋」が一番好きです！吉田美奈子さんのコーラスアレンジも巧妙！無論、他の作品もクオリティーが高く気に入っています。

　角松は同一バージョンの楽曲を同じメディア(レコ、CD)に収める事が大嫌いであるが、大好な人達もいる。両者の思惑が、後年になって一致した奇跡的なトラック集がコレである。勿論当時の12inchをそのまま聞けば、dubバージョン、オマケトラック等が抜けていたりするのだが、それは、まぁ、時代の狭間に封印しといてもOKでしょう。で、2000年以降ファンになった人で、ライブにもいくようになった人がオリジナルアルバム以外で必聴なのがコレです。"初恋"、"Giri In The Box"の長尺バージョンはコレでしか聴けません。所、その"初恋"ですが、冒頭、Richard Teeさんのチャーミングなブレス（唸り？）が入っています。そうゆうのちゃんと残す角松。
　Live Versionもあります。それは角松の"Prayer(2006)"というアルバムに収められているのですが、そこには他界された青木氏の溌剌としたスラッピングが収録されています。こちらこそが、ファンが親しんだ、日本人の、角松バンドによる、日本人の為の、元祖オリジナルバージョンであり、完全な別モノでございますのでお聞き比べなさるのもどうでしょう？
　また、このＣＤの長尺版"Step into The Light"では、初期の角松バンドのボトムを支えた、故・菊地丈夫氏のファンキーなプレイも楽しめます。当時を知る者にとっては、悲しすぎるし、楽しすぎる、複雑な記録(Record)となっております。

20年以上前でしょうか？職場の友人に、角松さんのコンサートに誘われ一度だけ行った事がありました。その時に、勉強の為と渡されたカセット（古っ！）。紙ヒコーキが綺麗だったなぁとの印象が残っていただけ・・。久しぶりに見つけたカセット、改めて聞きなおして見ると、懐かしさと、うっ！もう一度聞きなおしてみたい！と、ゆうことで、買いました！大正解でした。「ラッキーレディー・・」が何が何でも聞きなおしたかったので大満足です。音楽的なことはよく解りませんが、角松さんと同年代の私としては、今聞いても新鮮で心をときめかせてくれるサウンドに脱帽です。
