前作「PONK」から約２年ぶりにリリースされた聖飢魔II１０作目のオリジナル大教典。
前作「PONK」とは正反対に「聖飢魔IIらしさ」を追求した内容。
「地獄の皇太子は二度死ぬ」「GREAT DEVOTION」「HOLY BLOOD~闘いの血統~」などの聖飢魔IIらしい名曲が収録されています。
ダミアン浜田殿下、ジェイル大橋代官が作詞作曲に参加しています。

ボーナストラックの「悪魔のブルース」ではエース清水長官がヴォーカルを担当しています。

メロディアス＆ハードを両立したギターに，円熟のヴォーカルが乗っ
かったバランスのとれた良作と思います。あ，もちろんリズム隊もGood
です。

ルーク＞ダミアン＞ルークの（1,2,3）ですが，どうやらルークはダミ
アンを意識して作曲したそうで，違和感なく爽快な流れです。特にこの
３曲はイントロが素晴らしい。どうやら私は聖飢魔IIの信者というよ
り，単にルーク＆エースのギターのユニゾンが好きなだけかも。

（7）もシングル「STAINLESS NIGHT」の流れを継いだエースの代表曲の
ひとつかと。まさにメロディアス。

ややおとなしくまとまってしまった
（3）は大変惜しい。

初期の聖飢魔IIに戻った作品という感じで脱退後のジェイル大橋の参加曲11．（ボーナストラック）を除けば全体的にまとまっていると思います。
在籍中のジェイル大橋作品ファンが聴くとう~ん、、、と思うのでは？チョッと違和感があります。

聖飢魔IIの曲はわかりやすい詩が多いのすがこのアルバムはどんな意味が込められているのかと謎なちょっと考えさせられる感じ。
分けるとすると"悪魔が来たりて･･･"、"THE END OF THE CENTURY"同様、悪魔教的なアルバム。

重過ぎない心地よいダークさあり、芸術性の高さもあると思います。繰り返し聴ける飽きの来ない作品ですね。
