「バハマ エアポート」「SHYLIGHTS」「想い焦がれて」が入っていないのと選曲順も含め、やはりオリジナルアルバムを購入した方が良い。中途半端なベスト盤といったところ…。「月曜日にはバラを」「蒼い追憶」の替わりに入れるべきだったのでは…。AOR好きを語るJ.Iには、冒頭の3曲は外せないはずである。メロディー、コード、アレンジそしてJ.Iの歌声の調和を考えると、どう考えても、入っていない前者の方が遥かに出来の良いの作品である。

他の方のレビューにてかなりの酷評を拝見いたしますね。デビュー時からのJ.I.ファンですが「海鳴りに誘われて」「蒼い追憶」の２曲が入ってる事だけで購入しました。ベスト版はそれなりに「完全な自分好みのものはない」と割り切ってますが、これは割り切り度も少なく、いつもドライブの友としてます。このCDを購入する人って、J.I.をレコードで聴いてた世代が多いのかな…。

当方、J.I.のデビュー当時からのファンです。
「雨のリグレット」を何度も聴きながら過ごした青春期。
やはり、独特の歌声なんですね。
J.I.の歌声に惹かれた自分自身の耳の確かさを感じます。
さて、このアルバムですが、J.I.の初期の作品の集大成ですね。
「REVELATION」という聞きなれないタイトル。
和訳すれば、「暴露・摘発・発覚・黙示・啓示」
恐らく、「J.I.は昔、こんな曲を歌っていた…」という提示ですかね。
「暴露・摘発・発覚」という、好ましくない響きのモノではないでしょう。
収録されている曲は、計３枚のオリジナルアルバム(1st／2nd／3rd)からの抜粋。
抜粋とは言っても、発表曲28曲の中から18曲のチョイス。
この類のコレクション（コンピレーション）アルバムは、
私のような、すべてのオリジナルアルバム所持者にとっては極めて無意味ですが、
初めてJ.I.の曲を聴くヒト、最近J.I.の曲を聴き始めたヒトなどには、
「お買い得」になるかも知れませんね。
そして、J.I.の歌声にシックリ来たヒトは、
一枚ずつオリジナルアルバムを聴いてゆく…となるのでしょう。
