南正人は僕にとって唯一絶対の存在である。彼ほど明確にビジョンを持ち、周りの変化にも全く無頓着に活動しているシンガーは彼しかいない
　前に南さんの奥さんに聞いたことがあるが、いまだに年に２００回ぐらいのライブを行っているということだ。

このアルバムは南正人の名前は決定的にしたアルバムである。収録されいる曲目はいまだに彼の重要なレパートリーであるし、また日本のフォーク、ロックの勃興期から現在に至るまで最大のアルバムであるといっても過言ではない。

南正人はオンリーワンです。世界を構築する作業を芸術とするなら、この人は芸術家。
肉体の中に存在する音楽とその音楽を作り出す世界観が決定的に普通じゃない。

サウンドが荒い？演奏のタイミングが合っていない？そりゃそうかも知れないけど、そうしたものを飛び越えた世界観とその世界観を押し付けるのではなく、淡々と描きながら、相手を巻き込んでいく、そんなアルバムです。

南正人の「回帰線」です。はっきり断言しますが、名盤中の名盤です。アシッド・フォークという部類なのかもしれませんが、その正に様々な音楽性の「塩梅」が絶妙なサジ加減で配合されているのです。一聴しただけで、すべての曲が私の心に響いてきます。捨て曲なし。叙情性とキャッチーさ、曲と詩が奇跡的に絡みつく作品です。特出すべきは「裸のラリーズ」の「水谷孝」が９曲目に参加していることです。その事実も本作の名盤が名盤たる所以なのかもしれません。作品も持つ力、我々を吸いつける「吸引力」が違います。
