Frank~ Zappaに傾倒し、初期のライブ・パフォーマンスはゲテモノ、キワモノとしてメディアに紹介されていたじゃがたらですが、メジャーデビューの頃には踊れるファンクを演奏するライブバンドとして既に高い評価を得ていました。しかし果たしてそのZappa的な本質的にはまじめなメッセージはきちんと受け止められていたかというと大いに疑問で、実際江戸は行き詰まり＝息~~詰まり感をもろに抱えてしまって精神を病んでしまったのではないかとすら思えてなりません。曲と曲との間に一言「それから」と言葉を入れるこのアルバムでは踊ることの高揚からカオスに流れ込むような方向への抵抗が見られ、ライブの客の枠を超えてメジャーな一般レコード店でＣＤを購入するリスナーへ向けてメッセージとしての詩を聴かせることを第一に作ら~~れた作品だと言っていいのではないでしょうか。ある意味でスライ＆ザ・ファミリー・ストーンの「暴動」のような内省的なアルバムで、個人的に期待していた「Big~~ Door」は次のアルバムまで待つことになりましたが、ある意味で呪われたあの曲を入れたらこのアルバムは成立しなかったでしょう。「中産階級ハーレム」などはまさにJAGATARAならではの曲であり、このアルバムを抜きにしてJAGATARAを語ることは欺瞞以外のなにものでもないでしょう。~

つかれる。すげえ。天才だ。
こんな作品にいまいち付けれるやつに驚く。
このアルバム自体の流れがとんでもないものだが、
特に後半のつながった世界からの濁流は重過ぎる。
「つながった世界」の後の「ある平凡な〜」のイントロ。
正直これだけでも天才だと思った。ああいう鋭い感覚は中々出せん。

この凝ったリズム、構成、展開もろもろ。聴く度にいいたい事が出てくる感じ。
「それから」というアルバムタイトルが秀逸すぎ。絶望してまうよ。
ホント日本のザッパだったんですねこの人。うひゃ

ヤツは超えたぁあああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああああ

メジャーデビューアルバム。世間的にはじゃがたらの最高傑作とされており、収録曲のバラエティの豊かさにおいては、じゃがたらのアルバムの中でこれが一番でしょう。カリプソありフォークありパンクありファンクあり、何でもありの、音楽的実験精神溢れる名作です。江戸の毒のある批評的な歌詞も全開！
