　はじめて彼女の音楽に触れる人に、最もふさわしい１枚だと思う。
　彼女の音楽性というのは非常に多面性にとんでいて、一言では語りつくせないのだけれど、その１番ポップな部分が凝縮された、中身の濃い１枚といえる。
　緩急の曲のﾊﾞﾗﾝｽもよく計算されつくしている。

　ﾘﾘｰｽから２０年以上もたっているのに、決して色あせることなく、今でもついつい手にとってしまう。
　ター坊のｱﾙﾊﾞﾑを１枚選べといわれたら、私は間違いなくこれです。

大貫妙子をはじめて聞いたのがこの作品。今でこそ、確立したジャンルに分類されうると思うが、１９８１年に初めて耳にしたときには、この感情移入の少なげに聞こえるクールな唱法が何とも新鮮であった。楽曲的にはオープナーの「恋人たちの明日」が最高ですが、どの曲もシングルカット可能なメロディラインで完璧な作品だと思う。このアルバム以降、坂本龍一から離れフランス人アレンジャーにゆだねられるが、僕は大貫妙子は坂本龍一によるプロデュースがやはり最高だと思う。

昔このアルバムが出た直後のころ。彼女と坂本龍一がＦＭ番組でひとしきり対談した後、坂本が「それにしても（このアルバム）売れないねえ」と漏らし、彼女が苦笑する一幕があった。いわゆるコマーシャリズムとはずっと一定の距離を置いている彼女だけれど、そんな彼女の曲を大切に聴き続けている私の様なファンは、決して少なくないはずだ。

また、数年後「一番気に入っている自分のアルバムはどれですか、アヴァンチュール以外で」という一般リスナーの質問に対して、「どうしてアヴァンチュール以外で、なんでしょう？」と、ちょっと怒って見せていたのも特に印象に残っている。アーティストとはその時々の最新作に全力を注ぎ込むもので、最新作が一番の傑作というつもりでやっているのだ、と言いたい彼女の気持ちが良くわかった。

それでもやはり、これは彼女のキャリアのなかでも旬に当たる特別な作品だと思う。抗し切れない生き生きとしたポップな魅力が全編にあふれていて、私もこのアルバムのとりこになった。坂本のアレンジも素晴らしく、彼のアレンジャーとしての才能はクリエイターとしてのそれを完全に凌駕しているとさえ感じる。

そしてトドメはあの、暖かくかつ透明感のある彼女の声。美しい言葉を美しい声で語りかけられるというのは、もうそれだけで至福そのものだ。
