世界的名声を得た　デ・ラ・ルスのファーストアルバム。彼らの音楽の原点はこのアルバムにあり。
最後の”私はピアノ”サルサバージョンは切なく、悲しく、そして美しい。ラテンファンならぜひとももっていたい一品。

~~デ・ラ・ルスのセカンドアルバムですが、特筆すべきはやはりラテンの王様"ティト・プエンテ"が8でティンバレス・ソロを披露している事。彼の客演を意識したのか、前作にくらべマニアックな仕上がりになってます。

　わが国でサルサと言えば、古くからの一部のマニアは別格としても、ダンスやトロピカルへのエキゾチズムから、一種のファッション~~として聴き流されているきらいがあります。音楽的にも、開放的な明るさばかりでは無く、明るさと裏腹の「哀愁」こそサルサの神髄であり醍醐味です。リズム・ノリばかりが取沙汰されるけれど、フルバンドによるオーケストレーション、~~メリハリのあるブラスアンサンブルこそ聴きどころでしょう。まあ堅い話は不粋、ファッションとして!音楽がひろまり愛され~~るのは歓迎すべき事です。ただ表層を齧っただけで、単なるブームで終わってほしくないです。本場プエルトリコサルサ、キューバやベネズエラのサルサ、NYサルサ、あるいはサルサ・エロチカ~と言った様にサルサは奥が深いです。

　本作はファーストに引き続き"セルヒオ・ジョージ"プロデュースになります、3.4.7あたりは香りをとどめてますが、前作に~~比べてしまうとNYサルサの香りは失せています。そのあたり物足りなく感じる人があるかも。しかし大ブレイクゆえのことか、短命で終わったグループの足跡は、わが国芸能文化の貴重な音楽財産です。

「私はピアノ」を聴きたくて買ったアルバムだったのですが、もちろん「私はピアノ」も良いですが、他の曲もすぐに好きになりました！
サルサもよく知らない状態だったのですが、何度聞いても新鮮な印象だし、毎日聞いても飽きないし。
すごい曲だなって思います。
他のアルバムも買おうかな、と思います。
