ブルッフ、ヴュータンの限った事ではないが、ハイフェッツの演奏を聞くと
他の演奏者の未熟な部分が気になってしまう位の完璧さ。
ヴュータンの序奏部分が一部省略されているのも効果的という見方もある。
このあまりの完璧さに嫉妬した演奏家、にわか評論家の否定的コメントも
昔からよく見かけるが、「あえてしない」と「出来ない」の差を理解

出来る者のみ楽しむ事を許されるのがこのハイフェッツの演奏である。

このヴュータンを聞いたら他の人のはとても聞けない。とても感動して難解聞いても飽きることがない名演奏だと思う。ハイフエッツのファンでなくてもぜひ聞いてもらいたい永遠の名演。

-ヴァイオリン協奏曲No.1-
　数々のヴァイオリニストがこの曲を録音しているが、個人的には一番
好きな演奏である。特に三楽章などは聴いていて息をするのを忘れるくらいである。この楽章はAllegro energico という指定があるが、Heifetzの聞き手を畳み掛けるようなスピードと力強さは、この楽章にピッタリであると思う。とくに中盤の三連音符の分散和音は神業である。もちろんただただ早いだけの演奏ではなく、歌心も忘れていない。
　ヴァイオリン協奏曲No.1は多くの演奏家が録音しているが、ただ上手にヴァイオリンを歌わせ感傷的な甘さのみを強調する演奏が多い（もちろんそれも良い時もあるが）。Heifetzの演奏はそれらとは異なり、清清しく、気持ちよく、感傷的な甘さも味わえる。このような演奏は他に無い。

-スコットランド幻想曲-
管弦楽部分にカットされている箇所が少々あるのが残念だが、そつの無い演奏だと思う。聞き手の感じ方にもよるが、少々さらっとしすぎた感がある。
