CDジャーナルの評にあるように、フランス近代の作曲家の影響をうかがわ
せる作品集。子供のためとはいえ、とてもセンスが良くて、要求されるテ
ンポ、しっかりとした表情づけを行って演奏したら、プロの演奏家のアン
コールとして使える曲が何曲かあると思います。「はくちょう」なんて例
えば魅力的な作品です。演奏も共感にあふれたもの。

私が子供のころピアノを習っていた時期（40年前です、すいません)に比べ、本当にいろいろな曲が出
ていて（三善晃の「海の日記帳」とか）、弾いていて、「あ、なんだ子供
の曲か」と思わせることなく、「ああ、素敵な曲だな」と思う曲があって
うらやましい。そういえばプロフィールを見ると、田中カレンは三善晃
の弟子とのこと。なるほどと思いました。

こどものピアノの練習にいいです。特に歌うような繊細な表現力を養うためにいいと思いました。おまけに，テクニックも習得もできるように考慮されている曲集ですので，ＣＤのみならず，楽譜もぜひ手にしていただきたいです。

20世紀の音楽が『プレイアデス舞曲』の吉松隆氏の言う音楽ばかりでなく
たとえば、この田中カレンの作品集【星のどうぶつたち】も
同じようにシンプルで夢を見るような小品集です

ここでは“星のうた”を4曲間に挟んで16の星座が登場します。
子守唄のように優しくそして幼子を寝かしつける際に傍らで語り継ぐ星の物語

長い曲でも“ライオン”の2分52秒しかありません。

「夜空のお星さまにはお話しがあってね…」

隣でいつのまにか
スヤスヤと眠りにつく我が子の寝顔を見てホッと安心する瞬間
思わず抱きしめたくなるぐらい。

この作品集も愛らしくシンプルで
どの曲にも子どもの笑顔や安心して腕の中で寝息を立てる優しい顔が浮かんできます


思わず自分でも弾きたくなってしまうかもしれません。
楽譜も出ているので、ぜひどうぞ。
