このアルバムを初めて聞いたのは、深夜のＦＭ放送であった。アルバム１枚オンエアする番組で、全て聞くことができた。ポップでキャッチーでメロディアスな曲のシャワーに心洗われる思いで聞いたのを覚えている。

内容、サウンドとも、前作の「アンモニア・アベニュー」を引き継いでおり、あの吸い込まれるような、背筋がゾクゾクするフレーズが各曲で展開する。やはりここでも、Ｅウルフソンの活躍は見事であり、彼のボーカルセンスのよさが光っている。「運命の切り札」「アイ・イン・ザ・スカイ」「アンモニア・アベニュー」「ヴァルチャー・カルチャー」この４作品がＡＰＰ黄金時代であり、Ｅウルフソンが台頭していた最も輝かしいアルバムでもある…

アンモニア・アベニューに続くアルバム。ロマンティックでキャッチーな曲が満載。
それに加えて、このチームらしいトータル性をだしてきた。
何回聴いても心地よく、２、３、８曲目など魅力が残る。

非常にポップにアルバムです。1曲目からテンポがよく、親しみやすいメロディーは、アルバム全体を通しても変わることなく、何度も繰り返し　聴くことができます。
