&bsp;&bsp;&bsp;本巻最大の見どころは、戦争終結が描かれ、ある意味で実質上の最終回でもある第27話「愛は流れる」。メカ作画監督の板野一郎による画面を縦横無尽に飛び回る「糸引くミサイル」をはじめ、劇場用作品と並ぶほどのクオリティで、全36話中最高の作画レベルである。バトロイドが足を踏み出すわずか1秒程度のシーンがあるが、『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン』監督の庵野秀明が3か月かけたというだけあって物凄い重量感があり、何度観ても飽きることがない。（田中 元）
