強い信念を持った漢達の壮絶なドラマです．
ガトーをはじめ，バニング大尉，シナプス艦長と，かっこいいオヤジ達が描かれています．
また，カトキハジメ氏によって描かれた兵器としてのMS達も非常に魅力的です．
その動きは最近のロボット物に見習って欲しいほどのダイナミックさ．

何か勘違いしたような監督によって描かれている，美形ニイちゃん達が顔の部分だけガンダムをコラージュしたようなへんちくりんなロボットに乗っているアニメとはおお違いです．

昔のガンダムファンがあのヘタレ・ガンダムのファンに「昔のガンダムを観るべき！」と言うのはこのためだ。
あのガンダムもどきにこれほどの迫力があるか？
これほどＭＳの美しさを描き、その美しい動きを描けるか？
これほどＭＳに乗って戦う戦士たちを美しく描けているか？
宇宙すらも戦場と化す未来でも、己の思想、国家、軍のために戦う熱い男たち。
それが描けて初めてガンダムと呼べるのだ。
萌えキャラ美少年･美女尽くしではガンダムと呼べるか！

泥臭い地上戦を、ＭＳで行った作品です。
（途中から宇宙での話になりますが）
敵ＭＳからの十字砲火を「ヤバイ状態」と認識するパイロットたちの感覚は、ミリタリー物らしくて、好きでした。
この作品だと、数の多い方が勝ちそうですよね。
駄文ですみません。
