　デビュー作「RED」に続く、2nd.アルバム。シングル「恋心」「トラブルメイカー」「Sweet Emotion」を中心とする内容。但し前作と違い、全てアルバム・ミックスだ。シングルと完全に同じではない。「Album Version」というのは自分は好きではないので、この点はマイナス・ポイント。

　ややエキゾチックなシンセが印象的なダーク・バラード「恋心」は、七瀬が哲郎に初めて書いて貰った曲だという。こんな素晴らしい名曲を書いて貰えるなんて、なんて幸せなヤツだ（笑）。織田は絶対七瀬に惚れてたんだと思う。気は強いけど、美形だもんね。

　「トラブルメイカー」は七瀬の行動を見て織田が思った感想がベースになっている（苦笑）。そんなにツッ張ってたのか。理由無く、色んなものに反抗していた頃…。誰にもそんな時期はあったんじゃないだろうか？　40過ぎてこんな曲を書けるオジサンって…（絶句）。

　「Sweet Emotion」は七瀬が大好きだというエアロスミスのヒット曲からタイトルを拝借したらしい。「灼熱の恋にグラス合わせ、今宵二人何処までも行こう」と歌うコーラスは完璧。

　それにしても、この一連の楽曲が、ZARD の「揺れる想い」や、チューブの「Season In The Sun」と同じ人の作だとは、信じられない。普通、メロディーというのは、何となく作者の癖が出るもので、完璧に別の曲に聞こえるというのは凄いことだ。本当に才能のある作曲家の一人だと思う。

If you liked Red, you would probably like ParaDOX too. Although this is not my favourite album among Nanase's, I still like it very much and has listened to it countless times. For a few reasons. Firstly, the album concept is very good. From Cat on the Street to Two of Us, ParaDOX is like a complete love story, taking you on a journey with our young Nanase through all the ups-and-downs. To link Tori ni naretara and Koigokoro together, a koigokoro-sound-alike acoustic guitar piece called A Piece of Memory was used, and it is simply beautiful, yet simple. In short, ParaDOX brings back good memories of the then young and angst-filled Nanase (hear Troublemaker!), but her participation in the production is still very minimal (of course, just 2 years after her debut). So for fans who just got to know Nanase, you will love her straight-style rock in this one.

前作と比べて七瀬さんの成長ぶりがすごいです。ハードな曲も心地よいですが、やはりラストのtwo of usが成長の証だと実感できました。

七瀬さんの作品で一番完成度が高いです。
