　hitomiの良さ、勿論人によって何が好きかは異なりますが、彼女の独自性というか、派手に宣伝するような曲ではなく、hitomiの本質が少しでもかいま見られるような気がする作品です。全体に流れる空気というか、気だるさや哀しさ、ユーモアなどが内包されていて、詞の完成度（と言うよりは抽象性）が高く、決して「薄い」感じがしません。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　また曲調も「h」に収録されているものとは相当違っていて、「君のとなり」、「there is...」、「体温」など、比較的ゆっくりとした流れの中でこちらのイメージを喚起させる曲がしっかりとあります。これより先のアルバムではなかなか見られない魅力があって、hitomiの歌を聴くならぜひこのアルバムを選んで欲しいと思います。ただ「Love 2000」や「samurai drive」のようなノリのいい曲が好きな人はとっつきにくいかもしれません。

空疎な中に温もりが沸き上がってくるような、冬にピッタリのアルバム。長く彼女の楽曲を聴いている方々の多くが、これをhitomiの最高傑作に挙げている。

LOVE LIFE以降、彼女の楽曲は普遍的なLOVEをテーマにするようになったと思う。それは壮大である反面、抽象的でもあり、やはり、個々により異なる「愛」に対しては、必ずしも共感を得やすいものではないだろう。単に「LOVE LOVE」と叫んでも、アメリカ人が「U.S.A!U.S.A!」と叫ぶのと一緒で、そこに後ろ盾は感じづらい。

本作品では、誰もが持つ、恋愛や自信への葛藤、不安、救いを取り扱い、より個々のリスナーの心に触れやすいものとなっている。

私的にはhitomiのアルバムの中で最もクオリティの高いアルバムだと思います。
渡辺善太郎さんとDAIの長尾大さんが主に作曲をしているのですが
どれも体に自然に馴染んでくるカンジで聴きやすいです。
hitomiが作詞・作曲を手がけた「君のとなり」もイイ!!
なんだか小室ファミリー（死語？）を抜け出した
新たなhitomiの原点を感じさせるアルバムです。
