私自身、どっぷりのめり込みはじめたのは歌モノ三部作が出た後の横アリ以降なので、現在進行形で追いかけると同時に過去を掘り下げています。

横アリ以降の公演はかなり頻繁に見ており、個人的には『商業的なバンドになりつつあるでは!?』という疑問と飽きが沸いてきていた中でこの作品を見たところ、彼らの強さと本気を見せ付けられ「死ぬまで付いていきます!!」と強く感じました。

この作品を見ずしてスカパラは語れません。

これを見て『Gunslingers』を聞くと、それ以降に発表された作品が更に輝きを増すハズです!!

できれば、演奏全部をつないで欲しかったが、途中インタビュー等が入る事で、途切れてしまう感があるのは否めない。しかし、ＤＶＤなので、好きなように選曲することで、ある程度は解消できるものと思われる。また、リハーサルやメンバーの生の声が聞けるという点ではいいと思うし、ちょうど、スカパラのライブを見に行った直後に購入したこともあり、余韻を十分に楽しめた。特に、「ルパン三世’７８」のかっこよさは無敵である。少々の落ち込みであれば、十分に解消できる位のパワーを持ったＤＶＤである。

スカパラにとって１９９８~１９９９年という
激動の時代を駆け抜けた記録です。
内容は熱く、そして哀しいものもありますが
現在も衰えるどころか、さらに加速し続けるスカパラは
本当にたくましく素敵です。

オススメは『Ring O' Fire』、『国境の北、オーロラの果て』ですが
そのほかの楽曲も全部カッコイイです。
