２曲目の「Orient　Blue　Suite」は
序盤がまるで昔の異国を旅しているような不思議なメロディ
であり中盤は静かなイメージのメロディと
それを打ち破るような少しリズムのあるメロディが
交互に来るのがいいですね。ラストは序盤、中盤を
覆してしまうようなやや激しいラテン系の
リズムに変わり尾を引くように終わる所がよい。

６曲目の「Passion，Grace＆Fire」は２曲目とは
また一味違った神秘的なイメージを持つ曲。
ギター１つでこんな素晴らしくて神秘的な曲を弾ける
Al Di Meolaのギターのテクニックはもはや
人間技ではなく神技としか言いようがないです！
ジャズが初めての人でも馴染みやすい１枚ですよ。

あの"Friday Night in.."のテンションの高さは(多分)もう再現しようもないのだとは思いますが、スタジオ録音とは言え、本作の楽曲としての完成度は前作に勝るとも劣らないと思います。特に2曲目の"オリエント・ブルー組曲"は圧巻です！
前作でアコースティックギターが持つ限りなくシャープで、そしてアグレッシブな面を最大限に引き出した三者だからこそ、更にその上を目指すためにどれほどのエフォートが必要なのかは知っていたでしょう。その答えの1つがここにあると思います。
フュージョンというカテゴリにおけるギタリストの存在を開拓したJ.マクラフリン、その先達が切り開いた道に更なる"可能性"や"方向性"を知らしめたA.ディメオラ。そして、一民族音楽の域を越えてその芸術性フュージョン"させたP.デルシア。
強力過ぎます、この人達。確かに、万人受けするアルバムではありません(どちらかと言えば、ギターフリーク向けでしょう)。たかが"フュージョン"、されど"フュージョン"。決して、聞き流されるだけのBGMにはなって欲しくないです。

フラメンコの巨匠、パコ・デ・ルシアってどんな感じ？
アル・ディメオラさんって、速弾きで有名だけど誰なん？？
ジョン・マクラフリンって、昔マハビシュヌ〜やってた人だよね？？？

ギターが大好きで、フラメンコやジャズ・フュージョンに興味があっても、
個別のミュージシャンに詳しくない初心者の方にお勧めします。

特に若い人に聞いて欲しい。

私が10代でこのアルバムに出会った時の感動を、ギター好きの若者達にも味わって欲しい。
若ければ若いほど、純粋に心に入りますから。

肝心の内容のほうは、他のレビュアーさん達が書かれていますが、
ギターが好きなら誰もが気に入る名盤です。

今は過去の名作が輸入盤で安く手に入るので、この作品から様々なJazz-Fusionの世界を覗いて観るのも楽しいですよ。

No music, No Life!! No Fun my baby no fun....って、話が逸れたかな。。。
