こんなに哀しいお話が、実話だというから泣けてくる。
偶然このビデオを借りて見て、
何年か前に、カミーユ・クローデル展に行ってきた。
あんな想いをしながら、作品をつくっていたんだと思うと、
とってもせつなくなった。

本当にかなしいお話ですが、大好きな話です。
「考える人」なんて作っているけれど、ロダン、お前が考えろよ、
そういう感じです。

素晴らしい、の一言に尽きます。イザベル・アジャーニ最高！
カミーユがなぜあんな一生を送らなければならなかったのか。狂気がつのり、自分が作った作品を次々と壊す場面、最後、弟のポール・クローデルに｢私はなぜこんなところにいるの」と切ない文章を送る場面など。当時の女性が置かれた状況、彼女自身はきっと最後まで「意識は明晰」だったんだろうな、と思うと、なにも言葉がありません。
そういえば日本にも「智恵子」さんがいらっしゃいました。

先日幸運にもカミーユ・クローデルの作品を鑑賞する機会に恵まれ、
古いVHSを引っぱり出してきて見直した。

作品から、そして映画から感じられたのは、何かを狂おしいほどに
求めるカミーユの姿だった。
カミーユがロダンに求めたもの（男女の愛だったり、彫刻の技術だったり、
作品のためのインスピレーションだったり）を、ロダンは最初与え、
また与えることに喜びを見出したが、次第に疲労していく。
求める気持ちが強すぎると、結末は破綻しかないのだろうか。
決して自分にはできないし、したくない生き方だけど、あんなにも何かを
求めて何かに執着できるのは、ある意味うらやましい。

イザベル・アジャーニは、この手の愛に狂って破滅する役がまさにはまり役。
この映画が好きだったら、トリュフォーの「アデルの恋の物語」もお勧め。
