Neil Godrich of Travis & Radiohead fame produced the album for the lads. The two bonus tracks are 'Edward The Confessor' & 'Soul Trader'. Includes lyrics to all tracks. Standard jewel case.

このアルバムからはこれまでの特徴だった大仰なオーケストラ・サウンドは陰を潜め、とてもすっきりとした音が聴こえてくるようになりました。これまでのディヴァイン・コメディが好きという人には物足りないかも知れませんが、逆にこれまでの大仰さが気になっていたような人にはディヴァイン・コメディに対する認識を新たにさせられる作品になると思います。自分は後者でした。一曲目の物悲しいイントロが聴こえた瞬間に「おやっ？」と意外に感じ、数曲聴き終えた頃には「これはいい」と確信していました。物凄いキラー・チューンはないのですが、同時に捨て曲もなく、全体に漂う繊細で物憂げな雰囲気に身を浸しているととても気持ちがいいです。個人的にはトラック６がフェイヴァリット。ボーナス・トラックもいいので国内盤を推薦します。

　ディヴァイン・コメディといえばオーケストラ、と思っていたので、すっかりシンプルになってしまったサウンドには驚きました。
　国内盤のニールのコメントによると、すべての曲をアコースティック・ギター一本で作ったとのこと。
　始めは少々物足りなさも感じたのですが、聴き込んでいるうちにこれも良いなぁと思うようになりました。

　個人的には２曲目の「バッド・アンバサダー」が好きです。終わりの方の声を絞り出すような絶叫（？）にすっかり参ってしまいました。
　そして日本盤のボーナストラック２曲のうち「ソウル・トレイダー」。ボーナストラックなのにアルバムの最後として相応しいような素晴らしい曲です。
