この２ndを最後に惜しくも解散してしまったバンド、ゾンビーズの超傑作アルバム。美しすぎるメロディ、コリン・ブランストーンの甘く切ない歌声。ジャケットからも滲み出る極上のポップセンス。

６８年という比較的当たり年の中でも間違いなくトップクラスの出来映えだと思います。代表曲『ふたりのシーズン』だけではなく、極めてソフトロック的な『フレンズ・オブ・マイン』、ピアノとコーラスワークだけで極限まで美しく仕上げた『エミリーにバラを』等、挙げればキリがありません。軽快なポップソングで幕をあけ、終わりに向かう程に哀し気で壮大な音に包まれ、引き込まれて行きます。ソフトロックと呼ばれる中でも代表的なものですが、普段クラシックを聞いてるという方にも、最新のポップソングを聞いてる方にも自信を持ってお薦めできる一枚です。美メロ泣きメロをお探しの方は是非！

良い曲がいっぱい詰まったアルバムです。まさに名盤といえるでしょう。
当時はビートルズを始め、似た感じのバンドが沢山出て来ましたが、その中でもゾンビーズはかなりレベルが高い方だと思います。
ただ息が短かったので、あまり知られていないのかな。最近は日本車のCMでこの中の曲が使われていますね。
ゾンビーズの曲はメロディアスで、何だかやさしさが感じられるので好きです。
ゾンビーズを知って良かった。そしてこのアルバムも買って良かった！！

自分的には、
The Whoに負けない程の‘Rockオペラ’的大作だと思っております♪

最近では、
多くのRockファンが、そのサウンドの美しさに魅了されていますが、
当時は、不幸にも売れないバンドで、こんな素晴らしいアルバムを残したまま、あっけなく解散、、、

その‘悲運のヒーロー’達が残してくれた名曲の数々。。。
ワタシ達、新しい世代のファンが伝えていくべきモノ。。。
それを教えてくれたArgent＆Whiteのソングライター・コンビに、
改めて、敬意を表します。。。

‘独房44’‘エミリーにバラを’‘ローソクの様に’‘夢やぶれて’‘変革’.....
最高！！
