　今からかれこれ四半世紀前、かの有名な大阪のOverseasでコーヒーを飲んでいたとき、このアルバムのＡ面が唐突に流れてきた。"Nature Boy"の歌い出しで耳がピン！と立ち、"I Was A Fool"で「誰の歌？」と店員さんに誰何し、"No Moon At All"が終わる頃には店を出て、贔屓のレコード店に直行、即決購入。それまではまったく名前すら知らなかったシンガーのアルバムを衝動買いするなんて初めてのことだったが、家に帰って改めてじっくり聴き、「大傑作だ！」との認識を新たにした。これがＣＤ化されるとは、つくづくいい時代になったな…などと感慨にふける、５０歳手前の今日この頃である。
