BNHがアメリカにわたり、HIPHOPを彼らなりに消化しようとした意欲作。その後、HIPHOPが世界中を席巻して、ACID JAZZ自体が押し流されていくということになってしまうのだが、このJAZZ FUNKとHIPHOPのフュージョンというべきアルバムは今聞いても新鮮だと思うよ。

ジャミロクアイもかなりベースラインに時間かけてる感じがした。このファンクバンドもリズムに対するアプローチが非常に凝っている。スクラッチやらラップやら実験している。多彩なリズムが楽しめちゃうお得なアルバム。

重くうねるようなベースラインを楽しめるアルバムです。

生演奏の上にラップを乗せるという意欲的なものですが、ライブといってもパーティー的ではなく非常に静かでクールです。ジャケットの写真もステージで実験しているような雰囲気が漂います。

ラップのファンより各楽器のプレイヤーに是非聴いて欲しい、強固なグルーブのあり方がつまっている一枚だと思います。
