【J-FRIENDS】とは、TOKIO & V6 & KinKiKidsという３グループの、総勢13人からなるユニット。1995年1月17日に起こった阪神・淡路大震災で被害を受けた、教育活動への支援を目的としたチャリティー活動として、このCDやコンサートの売り上げ金はほぼ全額ユニセフへ寄付されます。これはJ-FRIENDSとしては2枚目のシングルで、【People Of The World】は、1枚目でも素晴らしい楽曲を提供したマイケルジャクソン氏の作曲。KinKiの剛さんには直接電話で歌唱指導をしたとか。そのせいか歌全体にメインの剛さん特有の切なさが漂っていますね。 B面【１秒のOthello】では、３つのグループがそれぞれ違う編曲で歌っているのがとても新鮮。TOKIOの編曲は、激しいドラムで叫ぶような力強いバンドサウンド。V6は近未来的なデジタルサウンド。そしてKinKiKidsはディスコ調のダンスナンバー。聴き比べると、3つのグループの違いがとても面白いです♪

まさに、こんな素晴らしい楽曲があったなんて・・・と言う感じです。

かなり前の「新・堂本兄弟」でＫｉｎｋｉの剛君がマイケルとの思い出という事でこの曲を挙げていました。
タイトルナンバーの「Ｐｅｏｐｌｅ　Ｏｆ　Ｔｈｅ　Ｗｏｒｌｄ」は
マイケル・ジャクソンによる作詞・作曲・編曲（日本詞訳・秋元康）のトータルプロデュース曲です。
とにかく上手く表現出来ませんが、レビュータイトル通り、マイケルの偉大さ、スケールの大きさを感じられる曲です。

必聴の価値がありますよ。
