   セカンドアルバムから2年を経て発売された、サードアルバムである。ジャケットの作品は彼女本人によるものだ。ちなみに、『ラプンツェル』とはグリム童話にある髪長姫のこと。
   <1>はシャウトする場面もあり、いきなり引きずりこまれる。中盤で静まったかと思いきや、<8><9>でまた揺さぶられる。全体的に見て激しい部分は減ったが、その分童話のような幻想的な部分や、高く祈りを捧げるような崇高な印象が強まった。（藤本真由美）

終わりから2曲目、「海原の人魚」が一番好きですね。

なんかどっかで自分が思ってたことでした。

始めに「けもの道」の激しい音、そして悲鳴。
息をつく暇もない程の狂気。
静かな曲も、愛しい程の旋律も頭を駆け巡って余韻を残していく。
ラスト二曲は甘く切ない、Ｃｏｃｃｏ独特の歌声で
物語を唄い終える、と言った風。
狂気も愛も優しさも孤独も哀愁もぎっしり詰まったアルバムの中で
最もストーリー性があるアルバムだと思います。

題名のラプンツェルは長い長い髪を垂らしたＣｏｃｃｏ自身かも知れない、なんて思っています。

Coccoのアルバムで一番好きなアルバムで、一番おすすめです。
私が初めてCoccoに出会ったのは、テレビの歌番組で、このアルバムにも入っている水鏡という曲からでしたが、ステージに立つ歌う前の彼女は他のアーティストにない雰囲気を纏い、歌となると圧巻で、歌詞に注目すると怖く、閉鎖された世界であるが、何か表現できない優しさも感じた。
魂をこめて歌うというのは　こういうことなのかと感じる歌でした。SMAPや他の有名アーティストにも支持され、未だ根強いファンに支持されているのも頷ける　一枚になっている。
ベストアルバムも出ていますが、私的にはこの一つのアルバムを通して曲順的に　ひとつの幻想的な美しい世界を作り出しているので、SINGER SONGERとしてではなくCoccoというソロで活動していたときにも興味を持った方、初めて彼女の歌を聴こうとしている方には　こちらがオススメです★
