デビュー当時のシングルから、
アルバム「ＳＩＮＧ　Ａ　ＳＯＮＧ」の名曲までが
詰まっている２枚組みのアルバムです。

最初の楽曲は、サビに力を入れている感じがしますが、
新しい曲になればなるほど、
曲全体でアピールしている感覚が味わえます。

バラード中心で、親しみやすい雰囲気が味わえる２枚組みです。
お勧めします。

福山さんは非常に「良い曲」と「そうでない曲」の差が大きいアーティストだと思います。このアルバムでもそれが表れています。中でも私が一番の名曲だと思うのが「IT'S ONLY LOVE」この曲は本当に素晴らしく、他のアーティストでもこんなに良い曲を持っているアーティストは少ないと思います。他にも素晴らしいと思うのが、「追憶の雨の中」「風をさがしてる」「MELODY」「1985年 Factory Street 夏」「明日へのマーチ」「Dear」「HELLO」「Message」「Peach!!」「Squall」…しかしこれ以外の曲は何度も聴かないと魅力がわからない曲ばかりです。あとこのアルバムは音に少々アレンジが加えられているのですが、どうも原曲の方が良く聴こえます…（汗）そのため、同じベストアルバムでも、音にアレンジが加えられていない原曲が収録されている「M Collection 風をさがしてる」の方がお勧めです。「M Collection 風をさがしてる」には、このアルバム未収録の名曲がたくさん収録されていて、全体的な曲群もこのアルバムよりもずっと良いと思います。
また福山さんにはこのアルバムや「M Collection 風をさがしてる」には未収録の名曲がたくさんあるため、ここでそれらの名曲が収録されているお勧めのオリジナルアルバムを紹介しようと思います（「f」以降は除く）。オリジナルアルバムの中では特に「伝言」「BOOTS」「ON AND ON」がお勧めです。この3枚はアルバム全体としての完成度が高く、かなりの名曲揃いです。この他のアルバムは、聴いてもらいたいような名曲はほとんど「M Collection 風をさがしてる」に収録されています。ただし「LION」収録の「雨のメインストリート」と「Calling」収録の「Good Luck」もなかなかの名曲なので聴いてもらいたいですが…。

初期の曲は、ギターが爽やかだが、とりわけ名曲というほどでもないですね。主にdisque 1。それが経験を重ねて、disque 2ではテレビはほとんど見ない私でも知っている名曲「you」「Squall」が入っています。本当にシンプルで分かりやすい、そして口ずさみたくなる曲です。アコギの素晴らしさ、シンプルでもイイものを創れば、名曲になることを証明しているようなアルバムです
