いわゆるアバンギャルドミュージックです。特にメロディがあるわけでもなく
リズムがあるわけでもない。聴いて楽しむという音楽ではないですね。
ただ、創ったのがあのポール・マッカートニーというので期待してもここには
ポールはいません。たぶん、一番期待していないポールがいると思ってくれたらいいでしょう。

　ただ、それにしてもポールって何でもやりたいんだなぁ。と考えてしまう。
正直、ここまで手を広げるのは凄いことだ。悪く言えば、節操がないって事だけど。

このCDがRevolverやThe BeatlesのOut takeならば驚きだが、２０００年
にRevolution No9をPaulなりにリメイクして遊んでみました。という感じです。JohnによるThe BeatlesでのRevolution No9は、それなりに音による暴力と革命をうまく表現していますが、本盤ではそういう意思が希薄です。聞き所としてはJohnによるMr moonlightの出だし、PaulによるFreedomの元曲のFree nowのフレーズはマニアにとっては貴重ですが疲れます。昔、JohnやGeorgeがやったTwo virginsや電子音楽の世界みたいです。私としては１９６６年に録音されたPaul録音の前衛音楽のCarnival of lightが聞きたいです。Revolution No9録音の１年前でThe Beatlesとして初のアバンギャルドを初めてやったのはJohnでは無くPaulでした。
結論、、、 本盤を出す余裕があればCanival of lightの発掘とWorld tourでのプレショーのCDを出して欲しいです。本盤はPaul命の鉄人向け。素人は火傷します。

ポールが作った（23は正確にはポールではない）のは間違いないようですが、「サウンド・コラージュ」という”音”の組み合わせですので、お間違いのないように！

現代音楽の範疇に入るのでしょうが、自然音とビートルズやポールの音源などを組み合わせて、リヴァプールという街を描いているのでしょう。ポール自身も自分の作品と区別して欲しい、と言っているほど聞きなれたポール・サウンドとは掛け離れている。ポールをどこまでも追及している方か現代音楽を追求している方になら勧められるかもしれない。
