フランクザッパファミリー出身の天才ドラマー＝チャドワカｰマン。アランホールズワース＝ギター／ジミージョンソン＝ベースという切れ者が集合して空間的広がりのあるジャズロックを展開しています。特にアランの飛翔するプレーが聞き物であり、彼のファンは聴くべきです。チャドはこのアルバムで多くの曲を書いており、トータルな音楽家であることをアピールしています。風景描写のような曲もあり情景が目に浮かびます。アヴァンギャルドな作風もありなんで、耳の肥えたジャズロックファンにぜひともおすすめであります。おすすめは７）tell me であります、彼のドラミングの非凡な部分はこれを聴けばわかります。間違いなく彼は天才ドラマーですね。硬派なジャズロックファンに最適な作品であります。

　ジャケ裏を見ると１９９１年録音となっている。確かに、それを
裏付けているのはホールズワースのプレイおよび音である。
（ギターはアラン・ホールズワース）
　サックスのブロウのようなアーミングや今や誰も使わない
ハーモナイザーを使っているところからもそれは窺えるだろう。
（最近のアランはアーミングをしなくなってきている）

　キーボードはジム・コックスというひとで、わたしはこのひと
の名前は今回が初。だが、だが、速いフレーズこそ出てこないが
ひょっとしてアランがシンタックスでプレイしているのではと思わせる
音色の太い音と音使いは見事だ。
（クレジットされていないだけでアランが弾いていたりして）
　わたしは、アラン目当てだったので、同じ目線のファンに送る

メッセージとしては、やっぱり持っているべきアルバムである
とは言ってあげられる。
　信じがたい速さのパッセージや、音色をサックスに置き換えると
コルトレーンがプレイしそうなフレージングを展開している。
　とは言え、このアルバム、聞き込むならやはりアランに予備知識
がないときついとは言える。

　ベースだが、コード進行が比較的シンプルでキャッチーな曲では、
あのジミー・ジョンソンがパターン弾きをしていて驚かされる。
それにしてもジミーの一聴してそれとわかるタッチは見事というほか無し。
　トータルな音楽性は無調っぽい、ジャズロック。
　主役のチャドはところどころで複雑なリズムをたたき出しており、

といってもアランの”オール・ナイト・ロング”で聴けるほど
はじけてはいないが、やはり普通じゃない。
　音はいい上に９１年のアランを知ることもできるし、
ファンなら絶対に持っているべきアルバム。廃盤になるまえに
ゲットしとくべきでしょう。

通常の自分のソロ名義のアルバムでのホールズワースよりも
このアルバムのプレイは冴えてる！自分名義では、何を弾いても同じに聞こえるところが何十年やってもフリークにしか受けない理由の一つでしょうが、ギター好きなら聴いて欲しいアルバム。
