　菅野よう子さんのサウンドトラックといえば、どの作品もそれ単体で語ることができるほど音楽としての完成度の高いものばかり。アニメーションなり、ゲームなりを考えることなく、サントラだけで楽しめてしまうのだ。その中で、個々の曲もアルバム全体としてのバランスも素晴らしく仕上がっているのが、この「ブレンパワード」のサントラだ。特にオーケストラと曲の融合度が格段に素晴らしい。

　「Power of the Light」で一気に菅野ワールドに引きずり込むと、いきなり「Ark」という雄大かつ壮観な曲が、聴く者の心を揺さぶる。そして「My Little Pony」が流れ込んでくれば、もう人はこのアルバムの虜になっているだろう。

　静かな曲、元気を呼び起こす曲、哀愁の曲、すべてがつまっている。しかも、先に記したように、極めてバランスよく。

　後半はいかにも菅野よう子さんらしい幻想的でメロディアスな「War Ship」を皮切りに、ヴォーカル曲「Flow」など、少ししっとり目の曲が多く、前半の躍る気持ちを心地よく休ませてくれる。そして、これまた菅野よう子さんのヴォーカルナンバーらしい「愛の輪郭」が流れてアルバムの終盤を予感すると、「On the Earth」が流れて静かに終わるのだ。

　ちなみに、私はアニメーション本編を見たのは、かなり後になってから。もし最近菅野よう子さんのファンになった方で、まだこのアルバムを聴いたことがない方は、絶対に聴くべきですよ。

同作曲家さんの手掛けた「天空のエスカフローネ」と楽器編成は似ていますが
こちらはより明るく、テンションも高めになっています。

収録されている曲のどれも質が高く、テンポもよい曲が多いので
20曲があっという間に聴けてしまいました。

またSparkという曲の終盤は
サントラでもなかなかお目にかかれない位テンションの高い曲で、個人的気に入っています


作曲家さんのファンではない自分でも
このサントラはなかなかの快作だと思っているので、
気になっている方や迷っている方はとりあえず買ってみても損はないかも…

最初っからブレンの世界が開けてきます。まさに異世界。トリップさせられっぱなしでした。この、ヒメちゃんのイラストも素晴しい。このアルバムにぴったり。KOKIAの歌う愛の輪郭もすごく素敵。オルゴールのが入っているのですが、それもまた心地よくて良いです。ぜひお買い求めください。
