まだ、学生服を着て坊主頭だったころに、赤い人民服を着ている人がNHKのニュースに出ていて、コンピュータを使った音楽だ云々と紹介されていたけれど、僕はデスマスクやら、ケーブルをクワエタところやら日常的ではない情景にとても惹かれて、それで、このアルバムのカセットテープをずっと聴いていた。昔はものすごい音の洪水だと思ったけれど、最近になって聞き返してみると、とてもシンプルだけれどエフェクトの功績なんだと思ったり（えらそうに）する。日本版はこのUS版に比べるととてもシンプルな感じで宅録って感じがするが、どちらにせよ東風からつながったまんまでマッドピエロまで一気に何度も何度も聴いて生活していた人達だけではなく、ぜひとも散会後に生まれた人たちにも。シーケンサーとの?音は「完全無比なミュージシャンとセッションしているようで胃が痛くなることもしばしば」とどこかで読んだような気がするが、ちゃんと人間が演奏していることが感じられる、いろんな人たちがきっと大切にしている一枚。
