いやー、これを聞いたのは、もう二十年近く前になりますなあ。
最初に聞いたときは、余りにもの美しさに衝撃を受けました。
曲の素晴らしさも、さることながら、やっぱり、ボーカルのマイケル・
スイートの歌声に痺れてしまいました。このアルバムより美しい
アルバムって、他のバンドでは、なかなか無いと思います。です、
はい。特に、バラード曲の美しさは、モネの風景画のようです。

このアルバムには良い曲が多い。
３・５・８・１０などすばらしい美旋律じゃないですか。
美しいコーラスにすばらしい歌唱力。
サウンドの質も２ｎｄより上がって４ｔｈほど高音聞かせすぎて耳ざわりじゃないので
とてもバランスの良い作品ではないでしょうか。
ただこんだけ良い曲なのですから、そこまでギターは歪ませなくてもいいんじゃない！？
逆に違和感があるような気がする。
「コーリングオンユー」「オネストリー」は名曲でしょう☆

このバンドは、他のバンドと違ってある特徴がある。
それは、「クリスチャン・バンド」と言って、
メンバー全員がその名の通り健全なクリスチャンなのだ。
その為か、このバンドが作る曲の大半が神に捧ぐ歌が多い。
かと言って別に教祖も居ないし飛んだり跳ねたりは…、
まぁ、ライブではあるかもしれないが(笑）
とにかくそれはさておいて、
何の曇りも無い正統派ハードロックバンドだったのだ。
特にVoの透き通る声と、抜群のメロディセンス、
LAバンドならではの黒と黄色で統一された奇抜な衣装と、
あまーいルックスが当時結構ブレイクしたものだった。
このアルバムは３作目で私的に世間に認められた
１枚ではないかと思うが、どうでしょう。
収録曲の4はギター愛好家のバイブル的雑誌「ヤングギター」
にも数回登場してたし、5はバラードでHRバンドとは思えないほどの
繊細な作りになっている。
