数多くの印象に残る歌を歌った山口百恵の主要なヒット曲を網羅している。ファンの人には少し物足りないかもしれないが、とりあえず彼女の代表的ヒット曲をコレクションしておきたい人には最適なCDであろう。

いまだに根強い業界からのラブコールがありながら主婦道を突っ走る
山口百恵。おそらく女性歌手では美空ひばり次ぐインポータントシンガー
であった。しかし、彼女はこれまでも、そしてこれからもカムバックする
ことはないであろう。だからこそ、このようなベスト盤がなおさら重要味
を帯びてくるのだが、やはりＣＤ一枚にまとめるには無理がある。

これは落とせないという曲が何曲も抜けている。しかし、５，７，８，
１０，１１，１４，１５の曲を収録すればこの人のベスト盤はなんとか
格好がつくものである。
