本作は、高橋真梨子の主要な代表作をほぼ網羅したベスト盤なのだが、
ただのベスト盤というより、集大成盤と呼んだ方が正確な内容になっている。

発表から長い時間の経った曲、バンド時代の代表曲・・・
それらの曲は、編曲を改め、現在の高橋が歌い直したものを収録している。

（「あなたの空を翔びたい」「桃色吐息」「蜃気楼」「五番街・・」「ジョニー・・」等）

そのため、オリジナル盤を既に購入した古参のファンは、原曲と聞き比べられて興味深く、
新しいファンには、彼女の楽曲ヒストリーが網羅出来るという、
実にファンを大切にしたベスト盤になっていると言えよう。

その手の試みは、通常、他の歌手の場合、オリジナルの新鮮さが失われ、
ただただ違和感だけが残ったりもするものだが、
歌唱力の進化する高橋真梨子の場合、それは全くない。

若き日の高橋とは違う、円熟した歌唱力が心を打ってくれる。
二枚組の圧倒的ボリュームで、最近作まで収録してくれた内容といい、
これは買って良かったと納得出来るアルバムだ。

ペドロ＆カプリシャスの頃から彼女の哀愁を帯びた声に惹かれて以来ずっとファンです。歌が上手で表現力があると思います。
曲（歌詞）のメッセージをはっきり伝えることの出来るのは高橋真梨子の右に出る人はいないと思います。

このＣＤは　ペドロ＆カプリシャスの時代の曲も含めて彼女の代表曲が網羅されています。私は特にディスク１の古い曲が好きです。
中年は、もちろん若い人でも楽しめます。

編集物やベストはこれまでも出ているが、質、量ともこれが決定版。長いキャリアの中でいい歌を歌いつづけているなあと再確認。むかしのベスト盤を聴き込んでいる人は、それ以後に新しく録音されたバージョンだと、アレンジが変わっていたりボーカルの調子がちょっと違ったりするので、曲によっては最初ちょっととまどいがあるかもしれない。でもその辺は所詮重箱の隅で、ハイクォリティ＆安心して聴ける２枚組。一家に１枚。（いや１セット）
