いわゆる“耽美派”ビジュアル系王道中の王道を極めた妖艶集団マリス・ミゼルより離脱して1年数ヵ月。それまでの“陰”のイメージとは異なるオープン・スタンスなソロ活動を展開してきたシンガーGacktが放つこの初フル・アルバムには、彼がソロ活動の中で押し広げてきた人間味豊かなイメージが実に自然なカタチで詰め込まれている。敏感に尖った耽美感覚と骨太なグルーヴが歌の熱気を要として同居しているのが面白い。シングル発表ごとに新たな音楽性を謳歌していた彼だが、それらシングル曲(いずれも新ヴァージョン)を含みつつ同時にあらためて繊細な側面を強調した曲を展開して力強い起伏を描いている本作は、ちょうどGacktが辿った冒険の道筋の総括といったところ。マリス・ミゼル在籍時に比べて大仰さが後退したぶん、しなやかな肉体感覚が前面に。自身の声の多面的な個性をはっきり自覚した楽曲ラインナップが功を奏している。 (平野和祥) --- 2000年05月号

　最近の傾向にちょっと飽きて再び聴いてみた。
このMars とMoon が素晴らしい。Gackt world がスクッと立っているように感じられる。
ライブで毎年必ず聴かせて欲しい（きっとファンはそれでも文句は言わないだろう！）
と思うほどの、時を経ても少しも色あせない名曲ぞろいである。
　曲のバラエティ、そしてボーカルのバラエティといい完成度の高いアルバム。
　Moonとともに、このアルバムはファン必携である。

ソロデビュー後初のアルバム。シングル曲も多数含まれており、明るい曲からしっとりしたバラードまであらゆる種類の曲を網羅したアルバムで聞き応えもある。いわゆるて曲がないのでGacktのファンではない人にも聞いて欲しい作品である。

”MARS”のDVDを先に購入していたので、
CDに関しては、どうしようか迷っていたのですが、
Live音源とはまた違った、Gacktの声の繊細さが体感できて、
とても良かった。
