ビング・クロスビー主演のほのぼのホームドラマ。定年後、何を思ったか大学生になったお父さんの奮闘キャンパス生活ぶりが見もの。マンシーニのサントラは、地味ながらも個性的で、安定したタッチが心地よい。メインタイトルは愉快なおとぼけマーチで、いかにも楽しげ。曲の雰囲気や構成は「ティファニーで朝食を」によく似ていて、ビッグバンドによる様々なタイプのジャズやラテンが聴ける。
