　最初聞いたときは「"テクノポリス"と"磁世紀"以外は面白くねえなあ、全体的に散漫でまとまりがないよな」などと思っていたけれど……なかなかスルメな出来で、聞いてるうちに良くなってきた。

　オリジナルの硬質感を誇張させた"中国女-Groove That Soul Mix-"
　タイトルのForestどおり不安感漂う、霧のかかったような"Key-Forest 808 Mix-"
　あまり取り上げられない東京MIXの(USMIXの吉田美奈子ボーカルも付加されているが)"東風"など、なかなかステキな楽曲多し。

　原曲をここまでアレンジしてしまってよいものかと、びっくりしていました。でも、原曲が好きであれば、アレンジも面白く聞けるようにできていると思います。テクノポリスがアブソリュートエゴダンスに聞こえたりして、一般に「remixes」として発売されているものと比較しても、原曲の良い部分を生かして誇張するという方向より、原曲を限りなくぶち壊している感じがとても心地よいと思いました。そういう意味では、「remixes」が一般に好きな人でも、好き嫌いは二分されるのではないでしょうか。最近、パフュームのヒットで、テクノポップがまた若い人の間でうけているようですが、今聞いても、古いという印象は受けない作品といってよいと思います。

私的に、良かった曲は、m-floの「ビハインドザマスク」~m-floが好きな方はＹＭＯを知らなくてもお勧めかも。あと、ＹＡＭＡＤＡＭＡＮの「ライディーン」~私はこのＹＡＭＡＤＡＭＡＮを知らないのですがＲＡＰが好きな方は良いかな。何か随分暗いライディーンになってしまいましたが（笑）まあ、この２曲は、ＹＭＯのフレーズの入った新曲だと思えば結構良かったです。ふと思ったが、ＹＭＯに限らずもっと色んなミュージシャンのトリビュートアルバムもしくは、ＲＥＭＩＸアルバムがリリースされたら良いのに。尾崎豊や長渕剛などのように・・・
