とにかく最高のアルバムだ。パンクよし、ストレートなロックよし、バラードよしで、ほんとうにいい曲がそろっている。ヒットパンクソング、「ライト･ナウ」もいいが、バラード「ワット・ア･メス」、そして、なんといっても10曲目の「ノン・トキシック」がおすすめ。でもその他の曲もいい曲ばかりだから、これはロック好きなら絶対にもっておきたい一枚だと思う。グーグードールズとか、ナインデイズみたいな、ポップロックファンにおすすめの1作！

ポップなパンクも、美メロのバラードも楽しめるバンド。そういう意味ではグー･グー･ドールズに近いかも。ＳＲ‐７１の場合はヴォーカルは一人だし声質も高めでよく伸びるみずみずしい声。そのせいか、このバンドからは新しい、初々しいといった印象を受ける。かといって全然未熟ではなく、演奏もソングライティングも評価されるべきものを持っている。

アルバムの最初はポップなパンク･チューンで、次第にバラード味を帯びてくる。どの曲も耳に残りやすいメロディーで、音のバランスもいい。ボーナスの
ラスト･エクスキューズも綺麗なバラードで、これだけでも日本盤を買う価値はある。でもライト･ナウのアコースティック･ヴァージョンは個人的にはやめてほしかった。あの曲はノリが良いから良いのだ。

このアルバムの後にヴォーカル以外のメンバーが皆代わってしまい、バンドの方向性も変わってきて、もうこの音をこれ以上聴けないと思うと少し寂しい。

とても良いの一言に尽きます。ロックの中でも歯切れのよさ、疾走感が強調されたソニックロック。ボーカルの声、ギターやベーズ、ドラムの演奏はどれをとっても文句ありません。SR-71こそソニックロックの代表だと思います。特にRight Nowは今まで聞いたロックの中で一番さわやかでした。たまたまこれを検索して見つけた方は買っても絶対損はしないです。
