本当に、ずるい。コンピレーションなら当たり前だが、まさにいいトコを集めたおした、という感じ。
ジャズの入門盤、としては最適なのではないでしょうか。この中から自分の好きな感じの曲を見つけ、その奏者のCDを探すも良し、そのジャンルや時代のCDを探すも良し。
ラストにハービー・ハンコックの処女航海を持ってくるあたり、にくい。

ジャズが大学時代から好きでいろいろ聴いていますが、最初に手にする一枚としては、NOW　JAZZ、NOW　JAZZ２は、特に優れたいいコンピレーションアルバムです。間違いなく気に入ると思います。この２枚を聴いて「いい！」と思ったら、収録曲の入ってるオリジナルアルバムを聴いてどんどん幅を広げていってください。JAZZは、一生付き合っていけるかっこいい大人の音楽ですから。

5.0 out of 5 stars 愛車に常備していたら子供たちが曲を覚えてしまった(苦笑), 2005/5/18
まだ子供たちが幼い時分からﾄﾞﾗｲｳﾞ時によくこれをかけていたら、
いつの間にか鼻歌でｾﾝﾄﾄｰﾏｽやｸﾚｵﾊﾟﾄﾗの夢をﾊﾐﾝｸﾞするようになっていた。
しかも全く何の関係もない場面で。
JAZZっていいよなあ、と思ってくれるだけでも嬉しいのだが、この子達が将来、
これらの名曲たちを何処かで耳にする度にかつてのﾄﾞﾗｲｳﾞを思い起こしてくれるなら
親冥利に尽きる？かも知れない。
選曲と共に曲順が本当に憎い。ﾋﾞｷﾞﾅｰへの入門編としても申し分無いだろう。
