90年代以降、リアン・ライムスやシャナイア・トゥエイン等、カントリーをベースにクロスオーバーでヒットしているアーティストを見ると、彼女は早すぎたのでは?ダンス路線より素直に1stのポップ・カントリー路線でいってれば生き残れたはず。今聴いても「歌えるアイドル」であり、キャリー・アンダーウッドなんかが好きな人なら気に入るはず。

ブリトニースピアーズだ~~~なんてみんなほざいているけど。ティーンクィーンシンガーは＝ある意味＝使い捨て＝１００円ライター的な存在だ。この業界の新陳代謝の早さにおどろくはずだ。マドンナがいかに『しぶとい』かがおわかりいただけるかもしれない。この人物は８０年代に活躍した人。そのベスト盤だ。今はだれも振り向いてくれない存在。でもいい曲があるね~~~~。もったいないね~~~~。商品として消費され尽くして消えて行く。この冷酷な運命。いまは、デビーギブソン／マルティカ／リックアシュトレーなんかが候補ですが、『あの人は今』なのですね。すばらしい曲がたくさんあっていいすね。文句無し。１０点中１０点。しかし時代が移り変わるのは早いね。そして流されて行く私。消費と言う名の悲しき行為。んぢゃ。
