長年様々なアーティストのアルバムを聴いていても、本当に出来の良い1枚に出会うことはなかなか無い。大げさでなく私にとってこのアルバムはまさにその1枚であった。このクォリティでデビューアルバムというから驚きだ。まだ少々荒削りだがパワフルなボーカルが非常によい。
もしあなたがメロディアスＨＲに、キャッチーで爽やかな力強さ、透明感あふれる切ないバラードを求めているなら、迷わず聴いてほしい。特にSummer NightsとLove Of My Lifeの2曲のバラードはメロディアスHRファンなら誰もがうなるであろう名曲である。

このバンド、この後数枚アルバムを出すのだが、2nd以降徐々にパワーダウンしていき、ついには解散してしまう。その後ボーカルのフレッドは「アクイラ」という新バンドで再出発するのだが、残念ながらそこにこのアルバムで見せた輝きは無い。その意味でこのアルバムこそが彼の最初で最後の最高傑作であると思うのだ。

他の方のレビューにもある通り 非常に爽快で とてもメロディアスです。どこかで聞いたことのあるような…でも思い出せない…そうか!聞いたことがあるんではない!!

ずっとずっと求めていたメロディーだったんだ!やっと会えたね!

て感じです。

そう感じたのは僕だけではないはず。

オランダが生んだ奇蹟、ＴＥＲＲＡ　ＮＯＶＡの１ＳＴフルがこれ。

飲み物に喩えると、三ツ矢サイダーかＣＣレモンの清涼感満点の爽快ポップ・ロックチューンが満載(^^）
アメリカやイギリスのバンドとは異なる、透明感溢れるサウンド、メロディも特筆モノ。

爽快ロックチューンの＃１“Livin’It　Up”から一気に引き込まれ、ロック史に残る名バラード＃１０“Love　Of　My　Life”まで捨て曲は一切無し。

ロックは土臭くて･･･、とか、うるさくて･･･、といった向きにも十分受け入れられるであろう聴き易さを備えているので、普段はポップスしか聴かない人にも美味しくいただけるであろう、そんなアルバム。

我が人生の中で５本の指に入るロックバンドの一つとして、生涯聴き続けるであろうバンドの一つ。
