虹伝説にリアルタイムで共鳴できたことは、私の大切な想い出の一つです。レコードで聴いて、コンサートに行って（大阪府立体育館）、ラストは感動して泣いてました。絵本も買いました。レコードは本当に擦り切れるまで聴きました。後になってＣＤで買い直して、何万回聴いても音の変わらないＣＤの素晴らしさを痛感しました。
このアルバムは「黒船」「サダージ」と並んで高中の最高傑作のひとつだと思います。
ギター初心者の私としては、悲しいかな「You can never come to -」のコピーができませんでしたけど。

ただ、もしも高中を初めて聴く、という方は、この作品以外、例えば「TAKANAKA」あたりから入った方がいいのではないかと思います。うまく言えませんが、「虹伝説」は高中の一つの昇華・結晶した姿であり、他の作品群とは多少異質だと思うからです。

１６年ぶりに聴きました。本当に感動しました！最後の曲では涙が出ました。この作品は本当に超名盤だと思います。絵本と一緒に是非また改めて聴きたいです。子供のころからこんな良質の音楽を聴かせ、美しい絵本を読んでやるというのは、本当の意味での豊かな教育なのではないでしょうか？素晴らしい作品です！ギターの音色も本当に素晴らしいです。

『セイシェルズ』で映像と音楽の融合にトライした高中。
これは絵本のストーリーに合わせての音作り。

モチーフが虹、ストーリーも色彩豊かな展開。
そして、音にするのが高中。
この上ないセットです。

ギタリストとしてのテクニックが素晴らしいのは言うに及びませんが、
ここで感心するのはコンポーザーとしての手腕です。
ストーリーに合わせた曲と音が抜群に良く出来ています。

曲数が多いけど、一曲一曲がキッチリと作られています。
死角を見せないフュージョンアルバムです。
多彩なフレージングを聴かせているので、ギタリスト必聴です。

当時レーザーディスクでライブも出ましたが、
ライブでもこのアルバムの内容を殆ど忠実に再現していたと言えるレベルでした。
それはこのアルバムの一曲一曲がキチンと作曲された上でプレイされたことを如実に物語っています。

曲の持つテンションと兼ね合わせて構成も聴いて欲しいと思います。
素晴らしいアルバムです。
一人のギタリストのアルバムとしては、今でもトップクラスでしょう。

音にばかり気が行ってしまいますが、ストーリーも「なぁ~るほど！」です。
『非の打ち所のない』ってこういうことなんでしょうね。
