   「Anarchy in the UK」を通して嘲り笑いつづけるジョニー・ロットン、「Holidays In The Sun」でヘヴィー・メタルの概念を再定義してみせるスティーヴ・ジョーンズ。名曲「My Way」を完全に崩壊させてみせるシド・ヴィシャス――彼らに耳を傾けてみるがいい。ただすばらしいというほかない。

The Sex Pistols were the most important band of the 1970s, if not the whole rock era, and Kiss This is a priceless compilation of every essential recording the band ever made. Formed in 1975, the Pistols almost immediately anachronised all that they surveyed. They beefed up the sound of the New York Dolls and drenched the resultant sonic stew in lashings of situationist rhetoric. They expectorated themselves into the headlines with an antagonistic blend of profanity, razored hair and sharp sartorial comments and single-handedly wrote the entire punk rock rulebook, before gleefully ripping it to shreds and throwing the remaining shards to an entire generation of spike-topped acolytes. 彼らがキング・オブ・パンクと呼ばれる所以は全てこの厚さ数ミリの円盤に詰まっている。理屈じゃない。肌で感じて欲しい、もしくはそれを強いられるだろう。エセパンクが蔓延する現代の音楽界の音にうんざりしている人にはぜひ手にとって欲しい一枚。

これ一枚あれば十分だと思います。ネバ〜よりお得です。ほとんどの曲がはいってるし。あとはスウィンドルがあれば完ペキ。本当にかっこいいです。アナ−キーはもちろんいいけど私はサブミッションが大好きです。本当に今までで最高のバンド。これを超えるものはないですよね。
