　真夜中に静かな場所で、このアルバムを聞くことほど落ち着けることはそうはない。ガットギターから紡ぎ出される透きとおる様な音色は、ジャズ・ギターの巨匠　ジョー・パス　の天才性を感じさせずにはおかない。（一度でいいからこの人の弾くギターを生で聴きたかった。）

　楽曲全体の構成もとても良く、１曲目の＜My　Romance＞が始まると後は夢見心地のままラストまで聞き入ってしまうに違いない。

名作「ヴァーチュオーゾ」でその名を不動のものとしたジョー・パス。そのジョーによる無伴奏バラード集がこの「枯葉〜ソロ」です。はっきり言ってこのアルバムは渋過ぎる！使用されているギターはジョーの作品としては珍しいガットギターで、ナイロン弦特有のニュアンスで一音一音が粒だち良く爪弾かれています。一曲目の「マイロマンス」から「枯葉」、「スターダスト」といわゆるスタンダード物ですが
、その優しさたるや、彼ならではの世界を演出しています。弦と指の擦れる音までもが臨場感を醸し出し、この人のセンスの良さを引き出しています。自らを「ギターを弾く芸人」とのたまった様に気取り無く、ストレートに美しさを追求したアルバムと言えます。
