一人ずつでも充分にビッグネームな各メンバー。歴史の中で共に時を重ね、トリオを組んで息もぴったり。これは日本ツアーの合間に東京のスタジオで録音したもの。そりゃ力抜いて気持ちよくやりますわな。でも手抜きなしなこの人たち。最初の一音から違います。端正です。ジャズ？何それ？僕たちは音楽のトリコなのさ、ってなもんです。
なお、本作以降でハンコックが生ピアノを正面切って演奏するのは「 The New Standard 」。15年待つことになります。

やはり指が長いのか。パキパキしたピアノ弾きますね。ファンク路線よりもこういうオーソドックスなやつのほうがいいすねえええ。２０年以上前ですか、これも。モンスターが評判よくなかったから、原点に帰ったのかな。ロンカーターもトニーウイリアムスもやっぱりこのフォーマットがはまるなああ。パーカッシブな演奏がかなりいけています。やっぱしこういうメインストリームがジャストフィットだ。リリカルな部分はきちんと情感入ってるし。トニーのブラシはやっぱし神業。
V.S.O.P.みたいなのまたやってほしいなあああ。
