国内盤でCD化されたものの、今となっては入手不可状態が永らく続いているP.ゴールウェイの'72年作品。
個人的には、実はFifth Avenue Bandそのものも最近になって知った次第でして、その音に甚く共感した事から、自ずと次のターゲットがこのP.ゴールウェイに移りました。
(それ程多くはありませんが)それなりにフォーク系やAOR系アーティストも聴いて来ましたが、このP.ゴールウェイの持つ感覚、朴訥と言うほど色が無い訳でもなく、饒舌という程の嫌味もない。でもこの言葉は"とらえどころが無い"とか"没個性"というのではない点は声を大にして言いたい訳です。
60s後期フォークロックに近いのかも知れませんが、余計なイガラッぽさが無い点と、P.ゴールウェイの飾らなさがいい具合に表われていると思うのです。
＃絶対、70s(日本の)ニューミュージックは影響を受けていると
＃強く思うのですが、どうでしょうか?
