叙情派デスメタルのスタイルを築いたと言っても過言ではない。
作曲、作詞、演奏技量は、発表時点でにトップクラス。
寒々しく凍えるようなメロディを、Gt 2人構成でやってのける
表現力は素晴しい。

ゆえに神盤である!!!

とにかく95年と96年は北欧デスメタルが最も飛躍した頃だった。94年のエッジ・オブ・サニティの日本デビュー以降、次々と名作が飛び出して１つの新たなシーンが誕生した。そのなかで日本デビュー前からかなりの注目を集めていたディセクションがこの２ndでメロディックデス先駆者のプライドを堂々と見せつけてくれた！僕はこのアルバムを95年のベスト１に選びたい！そのビジュアルやサタニズムに徹した歌詞からもわかるように彼らのコンセプトは伝統的ブラックメタルを根底としたそれであるが本人達はそんなカテゴリーはどうでもいいらしく自分等をデスメタルバンドと称していた。（要するにデスメタルもブラックメタルも同じだという）で、アルバムの内容だが前作の延長線にありながら、それを上まわる、よりドラマティックなコンセプトアルバムのように仕上がった（１曲１曲もドラマティック）。アルバムの完成度も大いに気に入ったがそれに加えサウンドプロダクションが素晴らしかったことが僕には魅力だった。彼らの意思によるものだと思うが、トレンド化しつつあったメロディックデス特有のそれとは違い、あたかもあえてそれを避けるかのような高音質ブラックメタルサウンドとなったのだ。このメタルスピリットは只者でない！

メロディックデスメタルと違ってスラッシュ的な部分が少なく全体的にもの悲しい音にブラストビートが混ざったような感じでドロドロのデスよりは聞きやすい。曲の作りはよくできており全体的にまとまった感じ。暗い憂鬱なメロディーが嵐のように過ぎ去っていく。
